Children’s books are a fascinating blend of simplicity and life lessons. They’re like security blankets — all warm and fuzzy on the outside, but deeply symbolic on the inside. They can be funny, touching, deep, dark, poignant, or charming, but in the end, they’re just the books we love. That’s why they so often stay with us well into adulthood. My name is Katrina Denise and I have a wonderful book store that provides diverse books which help children learn to believe in the power Inside.

Have you ever talked about the future and what you wanted to
become? Does Career Day at school present the same careers
and faces? Well, it’s time to show that success comes in many different colors and professions. If seeing is believing, then little girls
of color mustsee themselves reflected everywhere.
This coloring book is created to increase confidence in girls using
creativity and imagination. It features coloring pages and activities
that encourage girls to embrace the vast opportunities that exist by
looking at girls in more than 30 different careers. Girls will see themselves reflected in sports, science, education, racing, film, media, the arts and MORE.

A darkness seems to loom over their community as indicated by the FOOD DESERT which highlights an absence of healthy food options. That is until the mini heroes armed with crosses around their necks, belief in their hearts and covered in prayer from their parents join forces to slay the Giants. I found myself singing a Donald Lawrence song about giants as I read this book which teaches about healthy habits and the power our youth have to enact change
